AI for Small Business: Using AI to Improve a Real Estate Website
In this real client session, I work with commercial real estate advisor Valerie Reed to audit and refine the minimal viable version of her website.
We review how her services are presented, rethink the use of “opportunities,” clarify her role representing commercial real estate buyers and sellers, and update the website so it can grow with her business.
We also look at how AI can speed up website development, where human judgment is still necessary, and how future integrations with platforms such as FMLS, GMLS, Crexi, CoStar, LoopNet, email systems, and other business tools could reduce manual website maintenance.
This session is part of Snacks and AI Facts, where we answer real business questions and explore practical ways business owners can use AI in their day-to-day operations.

0:000 secondsOkay, so the recording has begun. Yeah, I in one of my other sessions that I am
0:077 secondsthe most non-technical technical person ever. But really, I mean, I'm pretty technical. It's just these platforms,
0:1515 secondsthey changed their UI up so much that you're always hunting around.
0:2020 secondsYou're like, "Oh, the button used to be there. Now the button's here. Now the button's there." But I I eventually get
0:2626 secondsit. Um, okay. So, uh, let's just I just want to reintroduce what we're doing in
0:3333 secondsthis session of, um, snacks and AI facts. Uh, we're meeting today with Miss Valerie Reid. She is the owner. And
0:4343 secondsactually, I'll let you introduce yourself if that's okay with you.
0:4747 secondsOh, goodness. Um, [laughter] my name is Valerie Reid and I am the
0:5353 secondsowner of Reed Edge and I am a commercial real estate advisor
1:001 minutehelping small businesses or investors, uh, developers to buy and sell commercial properties.
1:111 minute, 11 secondsAwesome. Who wants to say that?
1:131 minute, 13 secondsYeah. And we we've been working together. Um, we also met through the Cobb County boot camp. Just uh saying I'm saying where we met in all of our
1:211 minute, 21 secondssessions so people know. Um, we have been working together on uh getting her.
1:271 minute, 27 secondsSo, uh, Valerie is actually a part of Norlux, uh, realy, but she's also
1:341 minute, 34 secondscreating a brand, um, that will support her Norlux, [clears throat] um,
1:411 minute, 41 secondsher Norlux website, uh, more, uh, on on her brand side. And we'll get more into that as we start with the problem that
1:491 minute, 49 secondswe're going to be addressing today. So, just to kind of reiterate what we're going to be doing, Valerie. So, right
1:561 minute, 56 secondsnow we've got your site and I think everyone on the on the podcast can see it. We've got your site up and ready to
2:062 minutes, 6 secondsgo. We are just making some tweaks to it to make sure that the MVP uh the minimal
2:122 minutes, 12 secondsviable the first version of your website um meets the goals that you want to provide for people reaching out to you.
2:212 minutes, 21 secondsDid I cover that pretty clearly or did you want to add anything to that? No, that states it pretty clearly.
2:282 minutes, 28 secondsPretty clearly. Okay. So, what we're going to be doing today is just basically doing an audit um of the current services that we have of
2:372 minutes, 37 secondsValerie's website. Um then we'll make some changes in the background. But today's session is really going to be
2:432 minutes, 43 secondsabout talking through the first service uh that we want this website uh to have a user to click on.
2:512 minutes, 51 secondsOkay. So, right now, when a user comes to your site, what's the first thing you want them to do?
3:013 minutes, 1 secondUh, the first thing I want them to do is to uh click on opportunities, I guess, to see what um properties are available.
3:133 minutes, 13 secondsOkay. All right. So, let's go ahead and do that now. And just for context for the podcast, I kind of created this website blind making assumptions. So now
3:223 minutes, 22 secondsthis is the final phase before we actually launch it to make sure that Valerie is completely happy with the first service that uh she wants her users to interact with on her website.
3:343 minutes, 34 secondsSo let's go ahead and click on um view opportunities and let's see what we need to change there.
3:413 minutes, 41 secondsAll right, so feature opportunities. So, I know Valerie, before the camera started, um before the recording
3:483 minutes, 48 secondsstarted, we actually talked about having your actual uh listings show here instead of these
3:573 minutes, 57 secondsthese services, the last mile or the growth um the urban opportunities, the last mile logistics, and the growth
4:054 minutes, 5 secondscorridor sites. So, do any of these, I guess, visual buttons,
4:124 minutes, 12 secondsum, do we feel like we need to change them? Like, do you have opportunities that are like core urban opportunities that would be like in Atlanta, Midtown, Buckhead?
4:244 minutes, 24 secondsUnder the category of office and mixed use? No, not yet.
4:294 minutes, 29 secondsNot yet. Okay. Uh, what about industrial? Do you have any current industrial listings?
4:394 minutes, 39 secondsUm, actually industrial. Um, not yet.
4:454 minutes, 45 secondsOkay, no worries. No worries at all. Um, so if you could give me three categories or maybe even one, right? One category
4:554 minutes, 55 secondsthat we could uh change say this to and maybe remove these two sections where Yeah.
5:035 minutes, 3 secondsYeah. I have a land contract that I am actually pinning right now. Okay.
5:095 minutes, 9 secondsBy mid next week, I'll have that that one signed and that's a land deal where I'll be actually helping the owner sell
5:175 minutes, 17 secondsthe land. So, um land development. I do have one. And I guess just talking out
5:255 minutes, 25 secondsloud, if I'm looking over at the office one, um I'm sitting in an office one now. It's just not in Atlanta, Midtown, or Buckhead. It's in Alpharetta.
5:355 minutes, 35 secondsOkay. So, it sounds like what we're saying is that I made the wrong assumption about um maybe the areas that you covered.
5:445 minutes, 44 secondsNo, you didn't make a wrong assumption.
5:465 minutes, 46 secondsOkay. Um because these are the areas I shared with you, the greater Atlanta area. And um I'm sorry, I have to take this.
5:555 minutes, 55 secondsOkay, no worries. We're going to pause or I'll just edit it out. Go ahead and take your call. Okay. Hello.
6:046 minutes, 4 secondsLet me Okay. Maybe that really was scam. I
6:136 minutes, 13 secondsnever know now because I've got, you know, so many calls coming in from different places.
6:186 minutes, 18 secondsYeah. No worries. Um but anyway, um going back to to this, you didn't
6:276 minutes, 27 secondsuh misunderstand or overstep because when we met, those were the three areas that I was focused on. Okay. Um, and
6:366 minutes, 36 secondsAtlanta is like a um I mean we specify Midtown and Buckhead uh which is also
6:436 minutes, 43 secondspart of Atlanta, but my corridor is uh migrating into like the Smyrna,
6:546 minutes, 54 secondsthe Mapleton, Austel, um Powder Spring. That's where I'm looking in terms of selling for this
7:027 minutes, 2 secondsland one. I'm sorry for um the um well, no, that one I'm Let me back up. Let's
7:087 minutes, 8 secondsdelete that. Um um how do I want to phrase this?
7:167 minutes, 16 secondsAlpharetta is part of this larger Cobb Cobb County um area, you know.
7:237 minutes, 23 secondsSo, initially I was looking at Cobb County.
7:307 minutes, 30 secondsCobb County is ginormous, right?
7:337 minutes, 33 secondsBecause it includes East Cobb, Alpharetta, um, as well as the, uh, western part,
7:417 minutes, 41 secondswhich would be the Marietta, the Vikings, the Smyrna, Powder Spring, you know, all that is Cobb County. Um, but
7:507 minutes, 50 secondsthen you also have your um um areas that are outside of Cobb County, which would be the Atlanta, Midtown, Buckhead.
8:008 minutesThat's more Fulton County. Okay. So, I have stepped away from um Fulton County.
8:098 minutes, 9 secondsOkay. So, we're focusing more on Cobb, but I think in in hearing you talk about this, I think we need to redesign this
8:168 minutes, 16 secondssection. I think this section needs to be more fluid um as you are able to um secure more
8:268 minutes, 26 secondsareas where you have listings. This section needs to be more fluid
8:348 minutes, 34 secondsuh such that we don't have to come in and change it every time you acquire a new territory.
8:418 minutes, 41 secondsRight? So, let me let me throw this out at you, okay? because this page is focused on um a mix of territory and asset type.
8:518 minutes, 51 secondsRight. Right.
8:538 minutes, 53 secondsRight now in my I'll call it my portfolio. I have four opportunities.
8:598 minutes, 59 secondsThat's how we look at it at my brokerage. One of the opportun two of those opportunities are where I am on
9:069 minutes, 6 secondsthe buyer's side helping them find properties. two of them are on the seller side where I'm helping them sell properties. Okay.
9:179 minutes, 17 secondsOkay.
9:179 minutes, 17 secondsNow, of that, uh for the seller side where I'm helping
9:249 minutes, 24 secondsthem sell, one of them is a land development which happens to be in Fulton County.
9:329 minutes, 32 secondsOkay.
9:339 minutes, 33 secondsOne of them is an office development which is in Cobb County Alpharetta.
9:449 minutes, 44 secondsOkay.
9:459 minutes, 45 secondsOkay. This is why my life is complicated. Mhm. [clears throat] On the buy side,
9:519 minutes, 51 secondsone of the uh uh on the buy side, one of the assets that they're trying to buy is
10:0010 minutesa special purpose. It's considered special purpose because it's an adult daycare. So, I'll be looking at, you
10:0910 minutes, 9 secondsknow, warehouses, um, old churches, um, I could be looking for almost anything that's going to fit
10:1710 minutes, 17 secondswhat could be used for an adult daycare, a daycare center. Those type properties are more special purpose.
10:2810 minutes, 28 secondsOkay. The other on the buy side is actually residential.
10:3610 minutes, 36 secondsAnd since that's not a line that I'm going to be pursuing, I'm not I don't necessarily want that confusion on my website, but I am doing
10:4510 minutes, 45 secondsit because the individual looking to buy the house is near and dear to me and I want to make sure I take care of her since she asked me.
10:5410 minutes, 54 secondsOkay. So the way that I sort of interpret it, like as you were talking, I'm sort of interpreting that this
11:0111 minutes, 1 secondsection, the way to keep it fluid is to have it to focus on the role that you play or
11:1011 minutes, 10 secondsthe role that you play when you represent the customer, be they seller or buyer.
11:1911 minutes, 19 secondsSo, what I'm saying to the AI is we should actually make this section uh focus on the role of the real estate
11:2611 minutes, 26 secondsagent um which is you. Mhm.
11:3211 minutes, 32 secondsum as they represent the uh client, buyer or seller.
11:3811 minutes, 38 secondsAnd let's And um will these will these listings be pulled from your Lofty?
11:4911 minutes, 49 secondsUm I would think they would be pulled from the MLS's from MLS. Lofty. Got it. All
11:5811 minutes, 58 secondsright. Um the source Um,
12:0512 minutes, 5 secondsso I can Yeah. And I can say it would be FM, FMLS, G,
12:1312 minutes, 13 secondsMLS, CREXY, uh, Co-Star, Loopnet. Those are the uh
12:2112 minutes, 21 secondswhat they call the MLS's that I'll be listing or using to uh um you know buy or sell.
12:3212 minutes, 32 secondsOkay. So um please let me know if I spelled any of these platforms incorrectly.
12:3912 minutes, 39 secondsWell, Craigslist is C R E XI. Okay. And what was the last one?
12:4612 minutes, 46 secondsUh it was co-star. So that's co capital S star.
12:5412 minutes, 54 secondsYeah. Slash loopnet. L O O P capital N E T. Okay.
13:0313 minutes, 3 secondsAll right. And basically what I'm doing here um I am going so we're going to make
13:0913 minutes, 9 secondsthis change in real time. Okay. Um what we're going to do is we're going to say to the AI, hey look, we built this section
13:1813 minutes, 18 secondsand when we built this section, we had this understanding, right? Since we built the section, um the understanding
13:2513 minutes, 25 secondshas not changed, but the understanding has expanded, right? So we don't want you to lose the understanding that we had when we built this section. We want you to expand it.
13:3713 minutes, 37 secondsRight? So, um I'm just basically saying, um the feature opportunity section needs to focus on the real estate agent role
13:4613 minutes, 46 secondsas they uh represent. Nope, I said present. Represent
13:5413 minutes, 54 secondsrepresent represent. That's not right, but it
14:0314 minutes, 3 secondsdoesn't matter. Represent the client buyer. uh and seller the source listings uh will come from these places.
14:1414 minutes, 14 secondsUm and then I'm going to say uh is this possible? Is it possible? Is
14:2214 minutes, 22 secondsthis possible? I'm just going to say right now we're just seeing can they actually do it?
14:2714 minutes, 27 secondsOkay. Is this I tell people all the time, don't spend
14:3514 minutes, 35 secondsthe time trying to like fix the spelling or anything. Just move on. And since we're in this um since we're in this meeting, I'm not using my voice.
14:4514 minutes, 45 secondsNormally, I would just dictate. Oh, wow. Can you hear me? Yep.
14:5314 minutes, 53 secondsOkay. Yeah. Just heard a a feedback. Um, normally voice. Yeah, normally I would just use my voice to dictate these
15:0215 minutes, 2 secondsinstructions, but since we're in the meeting, um, not going to be able to, and that's okay.
15:1015 minutes, 10 secondsAll right. So, it's basically it's looking around. It's checking the sites flow.
15:1515 minutes, 15 secondsIt's going to inspect what we already have built. then it's going to revise it um based on the representation of the
15:2415 minutes, 24 secondsseller or the buyer property information attributed and the listing.
15:3015 minutes, 30 secondsSo, we're going to see what it does. Um but it's definitely doing something.
15:3515 minutes, 35 secondsIt's it's going to once it's done, we'll be able to see the change and we can say yes, publish it or
15:4315 minutes, 43 secondsuh don't publish it. And this will be important later, Valerie, when I turn over down the road, of course, because
15:5115 minutes, 51 secondswe already know um I'm going to be handling the website for a while, but down the road, um if you ever decide
15:5815 minutes, 58 secondsthat, you know, Lorraine's taught me, well, I can handle this myself.
16:0316 minutes, 3 secondsTh this is kind of me teaching in the open so that you can see how to make changes to your website yourself down
16:1016 minutes, 10 secondsthe road. I am not handing it off to you now. I will definitely continue to do all of this work.
16:1816 minutes, 18 secondsYay.
16:2116 minutes, 21 secondsAll right. So, it's just um yes, it's possible important distinction.
16:2716 minutes, 27 secondsUm should be showing the client's agent, not as the owner. Okay. Yeah, it's just it's reasoning through what I said.
16:3516 minutes, 35 secondsSo, it's basically saying that you don't want to be shown as the owner.
16:4016 minutes, 40 secondsYou shouldn't be displayed as the owner on your website. you should be displayed as the client's uh representative.
16:4816 minutes, 48 secondsAnd it's still it's still working.
16:5016 minutes, 50 secondsIt might build it out. The thing about sites sites doesn't and I know there's a way to show it, but sites doesn't really
16:5816 minutes, 58 secondsshow you what it's doing, tools that it's using.
17:0317 minutes, 3 secondsIt just understands what you want it to do. And then in the background it just runs and grabs the tools that it needs
17:1117 minutes, 11 secondsand pulls them together and pulls them into the site and then it's like presto changenjo it works. Mhm.
17:1917 minutes, 19 secondsSo that's what it's doing right now. But I say that to kind of as filler. Um because we're kind of just watching it
17:2617 minutes, 26 secondsthink but we're not seeing what it's doing in the background. Mhm.
17:3117 minutes, 31 secondsBut so far it's rewritten the section now explains um your role clearly separates the buyer and the seller representation.
17:4017 minutes, 40 secondsUm it names the four sources.
17:4417 minutes, 44 secondsYep. Without suggesting that you own Wait, do you own the listings? You will own the listings, right? So it made a
17:5117 minutes, 51 secondsmistake. I can already see where it made a mistake.
17:5517 minutes, 55 secondsWell, see, and this is and I've got our Norlux website up on the side. I've got my two screens going on.
18:0118 minutes, 1 secondOkay. Um, so there'll be some listings that I own because I would have done the
18:0918 minutes, 9 secondscontract with them, but I may also have um listings that were that are owned by
18:1718 minutes, 17 secondsother brokers um that I'm putting on my site because um you know, I may have somebody
18:2518 minutes, 25 secondsunrepresented and they're looking at my site and they're like, "Oo, I I want to know more about this property." Well, I
18:3118 minutes, 31 secondscan represent you, you know, to go look at this property and I can be your buyer broker,
18:4018 minutes, 40 secondsuh, sort of thing, so you're not out there on your own. So, that's how a lot of sites go. And also for Norlux,
18:4818 minutes, 48 secondsthey like us to also uh represent properties that other Norlex agents have
18:5618 minutes, 56 secondsfor sale because that gives them even more visibility. So, I don't know how you blend that in.
19:0219 minutes, 2 secondsWe'll figure it out. We'll definitely figure it out. It looks like it stopped thinking for some reason. Um, is it hungry?
19:0919 minutes, 9 secondsIt may be. It's it's you know, it might be lunchtime for the AI. Um, let me um let me refresh. So, I just stopped
19:1719 minutes, 17 secondssharing for a second. And while I'm refreshing the screen, I'll just kind of tell everyone that may be watching this podcast, uh, we're actually going
19:2719 minutes, 27 secondscameras off because we can some days we can just go cameras off. No, no, no joking. Um, Valerie is always out in the
19:3419 minutes, 34 secondsfield and right now her cameras not working, so we are just going cameras off, but we are real people. Um, so let
19:4319 minutes, 43 secondsme go ahead. I'm going to share again. Actually, let me get to your site
19:5119 minutes, 51 secondsand then I don't understand why my camera is not working. [clears throat] No, I just did that so that the people who might be watching this podcast
20:0020 minutesunderstand why we're not showing our beautiful faces. Okay. All right, we're back. Let's see.
20:1120 minutes, 11 secondsLet's ask it. Uh, did you um finish
20:1820 minutes, 18 secondsthe task and it's going to give me an excuse
20:2920 minutes, 29 secondsabout why it didn't [clears throat] or it's going to say I finished it and you just have to tell me to publish it which is what I tell my chat GBT to do.
20:4020 minutes, 40 secondsIt has to ask me first.
20:4320 minutes, 43 secondsYeah. And I'm looking at the word opportunities and I'm trying to think is that the best way to represent properties for sale? Are they considered
20:5220 minutes, 52 secondsopportunities? I guess I mean it's a very corporate way of um I guess so I would ask the question a
20:5920 minutes, 59 secondsdifferent way Valerie. I would say if you were speaking to an investor, would an in an investor interested in buying
21:0921 minutes, 9 secondsone of your listings, would they consider it an opportunity?
21:1721 minutes, 17 secondsThat's a good uh a good question. um they may consider it um an opportunity.
21:2921 minutes, 29 secondsUm trying to think what else we would what other phrasiology
21:3621 minutes, 36 secondsand just because we're on this uh call and I know um you're out in the field, we don't have to make this decision now.
21:4421 minutes, 44 secondsUm that's just something you might want to think about, right? Like when you're when you're thinking about the people or the target audience that's coming to
21:5221 minutes, 52 secondsyour website, how do they speak? What's their mental model? Like if they saw the word opportunities, would they
21:5921 minutes, 59 secondsimmediately know what it means? If it would confuse them, then what would they call it, you know, themselves? Like what
22:0722 minutes, 7 secondswhat would they call it instead? And then from there, we know um what we should call it.
22:1422 minutes, 14 secondsMake sense?
22:1522 minutes, 15 secondsMhm. Yep. Okay, cool. All right, so it says, let's see, did it do what I told it to do? Yes, update and published.
22:2422 minutes, 24 secondsOkay, it says it's updated and published.
22:2822 minutes, 28 secondsLet's stop. Let's I don't want to close you.
22:3222 minutes, 32 secondsYeah, let's close you. And then I'll refresh you to see if it really published it.
22:3822 minutes, 38 secondsNow, it's going to show all the sites that I'm working on, but it's okay. I'll blur it out in in editing
22:4822 minutes, 48 secondsand let's open it up and see what we see.
22:5322 minutes, 53 secondsActually, I probably should just open it in a window. It's probably the best thing to do.
23:0123 minutes, 1 secondOkay, cool. Now I just have it opened in a window.
23:0523 minutes, 5 secondsYeah. And at some point we'll come back to this cover page, but Yeah, the this section. Yeah.
23:1223 minutes, 12 secondsOkay. So, view opportunities. Nope, it did not publish it.
23:2023 minutes, 20 secondsLies and deception. Okay, let's see.
23:3623 minutes, 36 secondsOkay. So, this is a good example of how AI doesn't necessarily work uh the first
23:4323 minutes, 43 secondstime and why you have to keep prompting, right? So, here it says bring us the opportunity. It's really bringing it's
23:5223 minutes, 52 secondsreally bringing us the property because what we have to be careful of
23:5823 minutes, 58 secondsin real estate is we we assist our clients in buying and selling a physical
24:0524 minutes, 5 secondsasset. Not securities, not uh a hope and a wish, but it's a physical tangible
24:1424 minutes, 14 secondsasset that you can touch. It's either a building, a house, land. So that's why
24:2024 minutes, 20 secondswhen I think of the word opportunity, you know, opportunity reads to be a business deal. That's an opportunity.
24:2924 minutes, 29 secondsI'm not selling opport I'm not selling business deals. I'm selling I'm helping I'm bringing to the table an expertise
24:3824 minutes, 38 secondsto help a buyer or seller buy or sell an asset.
24:4624 minutes, 46 secondsa a tangible asset. Um, so when I look at
24:5224 minutes, 52 secondsNorlux's web page and maybe u some other commercial
24:5824 minutes, 58 secondsuh real estate uh companies web pages, I don't know that they speak about opportunities as much as they speak
25:0725 minutes, 7 secondsabout the customer service that we provide to a client to help them
25:1525 minutes, 15 secondsdisposition their asset be it to buy it or sell it.
25:2025 minutes, 20 secondsOkay. And I think that is the right way to explain it and I think that is the
25:2625 minutes, 26 secondsway to explain it to the AI um that you're providing a service to sell an asset.
25:3525 minutes, 35 secondsSo feature opportunities may may not feature opportunity is not necessarily the right terminology and any other
25:4425 minutes, 44 secondsplaces on the website. Um we may need to change that also and correct you're talking I'm making these changes in the background.
25:5425 minutes, 54 secondsPerfect. So, in a second, we should see it um
26:0126 minutes, 1 secondwe should see it update. It's It's working. It's doing its thing now. Uh to basically make the changes that it said
26:1026 minutes, 10 secondsit did, but it did not. And then also, I'm writing another prompt to basically
26:1726 minutes, 17 secondsum um position the messaging around the service.
26:2726 minutes, 27 secondsthe service that Valerie provides, the service and the expertise that Valerie pro provides,
26:3526 minutes, 35 secondsnot the actual opportunity.
26:4026 minutes, 40 secondsAnd we'll we'll work on that. We'll work on that. Okay.
26:4526 minutes, 45 secondsAnd I'm just trying to pan down real quick because I'm looking at the driver for,
26:5426 minutes, 54 secondsyou know, at the end of the day, the website's purpose, and maybe this is as we're talking through it, it's kind of coming to me more and more clear.
27:0227 minutes, 2 secondsAbsolutely. The purpose of the website is to drive clients to reach out to me, right, for help in dispositioning that asset.
27:1227 minutes, 12 secondsSo, I'm looking here at this page and you've got your name, your email I'm interested in. So, the select one um one
27:2227 minutes, 22 secondsof my options acquiring a property, selling a property.
27:2627 minutes, 26 secondsYep, there you go. Presentation. Yep.
27:3027 minutes, 30 secondsAnd then, um where it says briefly describe the opportunity. Um,
27:3727 minutes, 37 secondsI don't know if I want to call it briefly describing the opportunity as opposed to
27:4627 minutes, 46 secondsbriefly describe do I want to say your needs or
27:5427 minutes, 54 secondsYeah, we we need to workshop opportunity. Um, that's that's really where the messaging is getting I
28:0228 minutes, 2 secondswouldn't say muddy, but it's definitely [clears throat] not pristine in a way where you feel comfortable that
28:1028 minutes, 10 secondsit's not misrepresent misrepresenting something that you can do for them.
28:1628 minutes, 16 secondsCorrect. And again, as I look at other sites and this that's why I thought this was just a beautiful website, but it is
28:2428 minutes, 24 secondsit is um bigger and more robust than most because most come in with that initial
28:3328 minutes, 33 secondsum uh sale of the services that are provided which again all work around
28:4028 minutes, 40 secondswhat I'm doing to help them disposition that asset.
28:4428 minutes, 44 secondsRight? And then it talks about um you know your market area which right now we've got Atlanta metropolitan so we
28:5228 minutes, 52 secondsneed to update that. Um and all of this is going to be in the notes. I don't think as we're talking Valerie I thought
29:0129 minutes, 1 secondthat we could update most of this in the wild like um in you know in real time. I think this is going to
29:1029 minutes, 10 secondsbe an offline uh some offline changes I'll have to make. Okay.
29:1629 minutes, 16 secondsSo, what I'd like to do um because I think I have enough notes um from this
29:2329 minutes, 23 secondssession to go back and make the changes that you need. What I want to do as a demonstration um in this session is to
29:3129 minutes, 31 secondsshow how I I know that we've been talking off camera um and out of the session to get your domain name and you
29:3829 minutes, 38 secondspurchased it. So, I'm so excited about that. Mhm.
29:4229 minutes, 42 secondsI want to kind of show you um or do a demonstration on how we will actually um
29:5029 minutes, 50 secondsintegrate your domain such that it's going to what you purchase.com instead of the uh chatgpt sites. So I can do that for you now.
30:0230 minutes, 2 secondsOkay.
30:0330 minutes, 3 secondsAll right. So the thing that we're going to have actually you know what I'm gonna help you I'm gonna have you do it. No, no, I'm not because I'm gonna be
30:1030 minutes, 10 secondshandling it. Um, all right. So, I'm gonna stop sharing the screen. I love this view.
30:1830 minutes, 18 secondsIt's great. Right. Do you I mean, I'm just loving it.
30:2230 minutes, 22 secondsYeah, it it it you know, I I'll just pause here. If we don't get to the demonstration, I would just really
30:3030 minutes, 30 secondslove to to just take a moment to tell you thank you for giving me the
30:3730 minutes, 37 secondsopportunity to think about branding in a way that I
30:4430 minutes, 44 secondshaven't had a chance to think about branding with clients in a very long time.
30:5030 minutes, 50 secondsUm, just thinking about, you know, what is this brand trying to say? what is this brand trying to, you know, who is
30:5830 minutes, 58 secondsthis brand attracting? Um, I just had so much fun um, with this from the logo to
31:0531 minutes, 5 secondsthe imagery, all of it has just been great. So, I just wanted to stop and say thank you for that. And I also wanted to
31:1231 minutes, 12 secondssay to you this logo, the logo that I created, I have not had the opportunity, Valerie,
31:2031 minutes, 20 secondsto pull out my sketchbook and start drawing uh for a logo probably in 15 years.
31:3031 minutes, 30 secondsThis logo started as a handdrawing. I just want you to know that.
31:3531 minutes, 35 seconds[laughter]
31:3631 minutes, 36 secondsOh, and and it all came from our discussions around, you know, how your brand it it
31:4231 minutes, 42 secondsbrings a a specific edge and, you know, then I started thinking about skyscrapers and when you look up, how
31:4931 minutes, 49 secondsedges start to be uh presented, you know, like there are edges on these buildings that by looking up and it just
31:5831 minutes, 58 secondsre I just really got a chance to be very inspired um creating this and I wanted to bring that in because I know there's a lot of
32:0732 minutes, 7 secondsdiscussion about, you know, how using AI um to assist your design process can actually
32:1532 minutes, 15 secondsmake you less creative. And this is just a perfect example of how the AI removed all of the things that were kind of
32:2432 minutes, 24 secondstedious and left the things that were creative and help execute faster. Yep.
32:3232 minutes, 32 secondsIt's it's just great. And like I said in this video, I put some of the hand sketches that I used to get to this logo, like to where we are.
32:4132 minutes, 41 secondsI mean, I just really I just really love it. I mean, this is the colored version of it, but I really love the white version of it. I I love it.
32:5132 minutes, 51 secondsSo that was just me um I guess I don't know being thankful thankful
32:5832 minutes, 58 secondsthe creative uh agency that you provided and um yeah I'm I'm going to actually
33:0733 minutes, 7 secondsstop the video because I think we have enough for the video. Um did you have any other AI questions that you might
33:1633 minutes, 16 secondswant to ask before I stop the video? um as it pertains to your website, you know, just a question that you might just have on your and you might not have
33:2433 minutes, 24 secondsa question because I am springing this on you. Um just want to open up for some questions before I stop the video.
33:3233 minutes, 32 secondsWell, my questions I don't know if it's in with what you were doing, but it's practical AI. Any questions that
33:4133 minutes, 41 secondsany business owners have, um we bring some snacks and I bring some facts. So any question that you have I I can definitely answer.
33:5133 minutes, 51 secondsMine are more about connectivity like connecting um this site to other other sites or to
34:0134 minutes, 1 secondmy uh brokerages website which is not necessarily AI driven. um when I think
34:1034 minutes, 10 secondsfrom an AI perspective I don't have any immediate questions fair um
34:1834 minutes, 18 secondsbut I feel like your question is relevant right and I can actually show you what I mean by that so um in AI uh
34:2734 minutes, 27 secondsI'm sorry snacks and AI facts we've been talking about connect we've been talking about the first uh episode we t we built
34:3534 minutes, 35 secondsa website in real time. And um this second episode I plan to talk about uh
34:4334 minutes, 43 secondsconnecting the website to the domain which we'll get to that demo later. But I feel [clears throat] like your question that you're asking and I'm
34:5134 minutes, 51 secondsgoing to switch back to this screen so that you can see what I'm doing. The question that you're asking is like okay
34:5934 minutes, 59 secondsnow I've got a website. It's up and running. It's targeting my correct target audience. How can I connect it to
35:0735 minutes, 7 secondsmy workflow? Because you have a brokerage that is gonna bring you information. You have other re other places where you might need to bring
35:1535 minutes, 15 secondsinformation in. How do I connect these things to this website that I have? And I think that's very relevant. So, what I'm going to do, I'm going to go ahead
35:2435 minutes, 24 secondsand close this down and then I'm going to go into my chat GBT.
35:3035 minutes, 30 secondsSo, in your website that I'm building, I'm going to go into the settings.
35:3835 minutes, 38 secondsAnd in the settings, you'll see in a moment, just going to collapse this so we can
35:4535 minutes, 45 secondssee most of it. Okay. So, in the settings, you can see that here is where
35:5335 minutes, 53 secondswe can add your custom domain, which we'll do that demo a little bit later.
35:5835 minutes, 58 secondsUm, but you can also add, so what you're talking about are APIs, basically
36:0536 minutes, 5 secondsallowing your site to go out and connect to other websites, other like Gmail for that matter, we could get a Gmail API.
36:1436 minutes, 14 secondsAnd if you needed emails to be sent directly from your website through your Gmail, we could do that. I'm just using Gmail because that's the one that comes
36:2336 minutes, 23 secondsto mind. But there are so many APIs that we could just go out, you know, if um CoStar, right?
36:3336 minutes, 33 secondsI'm going to make a guess that CoStar has an API, right? And if CoStar has your listings, we can go out and get the
36:4236 minutes, 42 secondsAPI connected to your website directly and then now we won't have to come in and
36:4936 minutes, 49 secondssay, "Oh, Valerie just listed another thing or there's another listing for Valerie and Co-Star." [snorts] No, we can connect through an API and it will
36:5836 minutes, 58 secondsautomatically update thereby. So, what's the benefit thereby giving you less things or really me to have to do,
37:0737 minutes, 7 secondsright? So you you list it on CoStar or or Cretzy or whatever listing platform you
37:1637 minutes, 16 secondslisted on and rather than, you know, me having to come in and add a listing every time, I can just add the API and
37:2637 minutes, 26 secondsthe API will just recognize whenever Valerie adds a new listing, bring it to her site.
37:3337 minutes, 33 secondsSo that's what I mean about I hope this kind of answered your question like connectivity the the your website through Chad GBT is
37:4337 minutes, 43 secondsalready set up like I would say two months ago if I was
37:5137 minutes, 51 secondsbuilding a website for a client like this one right I'd have to I'd have to write the code
37:5937 minutes, 59 secondsput it into my server uh write the API keys, put it into my server, you know, all I have to write all of these things
38:0638 minutes, 6 secondsand put them into a server. right now. I can just write it with language just like talking to the AP a um talking
38:1438 minutes, 14 secondsto the AI, write the code, do the creative work, make it so that it's not generic, and then come back and [clears throat] all of the things that I would have to do
38:2338 minutes, 23 secondslike connecting your domain name and sharing it with people and adding API keys, all of this is here.
38:3138 minutes, 31 secondsIt just really makes webs web design so much easier for the business owner.
38:3838 minutes, 38 secondsAnd I hope that answers your question. Or maybe did I over complicate it?
38:4238 minutes, 42 secondsNo, you just um No, you did not.
38:4738 minutes, 47 secondsOkay. So, yes, connectivity is a thing that's built into the chat GPT site.
38:5338 minutes, 53 secondsIt's built in. Um domains, right? It's as simple as pressing this button and then going into your DNS records, which
39:0239 minutes, 2 secondslike I said, I'll do a demo of that later. And now your domain is pointed there.
39:0739 minutes, 7 secondsUm, if you want to know who's visiting your site, right? This would be another thing that I had to do as a web designer, developer, UI designer, I
39:1639 minutes, 16 secondswould have to come in and tell the website, hey, track who's visiting the site. Like, track it, right? It's
39:2439 minutes, 24 secondsalready doing that. And I can even go further and say, track people who are coming from this source. Track people
39:3139 minutes, 31 secondswho are coming from this source. But the analytics are already there. Mhm. If that makes sense.
39:3839 minutes, 38 secondsSo, yeah, I think I made it over complicated, but you know, that's what I do. Um, I'm gonna go ahead and, um, stop
39:4739 minutes, 47 secondsthe recording if you don't have any other questions and then I'll come back with the demo at the end of this video.
39:5639 minutes, 56 secondsOkay.
39:5739 minutes, 57 secondsAll right. So, I'll go ahead and stop the recording for now.
